Shake* it

Its just been a bad day. I hate those days. I havent been feeling well and then I had to drop off my car and ride with my mom to work this morning. We were late and it all went down hill after that.

Our PM told us that Ryan had switched siding company's and that we might not have the same colors to choose from. Well today our PM called us and let us know the *new color samples were in. The siding color with the new company is pretty much the same... but the Shake color is not. BOOO so they only had 2 shake colors to choose from. Grey or Brown. GRR. I just finished writing our sales rep to ask her if they maybe didn't have all the samples (lol). What a HUGE selection to choose from right? So anyway, I'm waiting to hear back from her. So while we are looking at the exterior colors, I look to my left to find 2 new cabinet colors. Expresso and the antique white color that I wanted. Grr again. So I also said to our sales rep "who's idea was it to put Brittany in the basement with 2 new cabinet colors, I dont suppose I could also change those as well" hahahaha. I know its going to be a big NO but a girl can try right? Ohhh what a day. So im waiting to here back from her. The exterior was the only thing I actually knew I was 100% with. Thats shot.

On the home front.. While i was passed out from my benadryl last night Mr Seth took these of the house.

Yes, thats our neighbors. Yes we are living on top of each other. Lets hope they love us.

bd- your countdown is over. Time for a new one. You should title it "count down till I bring my shovel and get this show on the road" HAHAHA Any news?

  1. LOL at the BD comment!

You have my cabinets now!!! YAY!!! I hope you can get them! They are pricy, but if you'll notice it's more decorative too. Oh how I hope you can change that.

BD said he has to change his color now too. SO I'm off to email my PM and Rep, I'm worried. They are suppose to start siding TOMORROW! I'm sure it's all ok since we're this far along...but....

I'm really close to my one neighbor too. They angled our house on our lot so the back of the house is really close.

Love the pics. Hope you feel better soon! Let us know how it goes!

  2. Yep...Noey is right...we found out last night that we need to reselect our siding color which may or may not be a good thing...my wife was not totally sold on Taupe, but she also wasn't happy with the rest...she would like silver...whatever color that is in guy terms. Bitty, you must have read my mind. I have restarted the countdown and it is now called Groundbreaking Take 2...I am still a little concerned about next Wednesday because the permits are not yet in Ryan's hands...I did find out that the engineers are schedule to come out and stake out the house layout on the lot...may have happened today.

  3. Just realized I never typed this. Congrats on the foundation going in and yes, the antique white cabinets are now an option for use as well...we aren't changing though. As I mentioned in another post, they have also changed the stone selections for fireplace and outside as well...that worked out well for us since the fireplace stone color we really liked was one of the new colors. Hope you feel better soon.

  4. I hope you're feeling better now and your days have gotten better! Great pictures! I don't think our siding selection was affected, unless they didn't bother to tell us. Let's hope that's not the case though! Great pictures, once the framing starts it is going to go up so quickly!
