New siding.. and shake.. and stone.. =)

I guess you can say we like to push the limits. With the old company we were going to do:

Siding color: Clay
Shake siding color: Khaki
Stone color: Aspen
Exterior trim color: White
Front door color: Black
Garage door color: White
Shutter color: Black

New colors are

Siding color: Stone Mountain Clay
Shake siding color: Cabin Cedar
Stone color: Bucks County
Same for the rest...

They look different in different lights. Not sure how I feel about it. I was 100% with the previous color choices. I think it was because it was on the model in Hidden lakes (our 1st community) and now were going in blind and I dont know how it will actually look. I have this horrible feeling I wont like it. Eekks. But what they told us were similar to the old colors I thought were too similar. The shake and the siding looked alike so we change the whole scheme. I hate not knowing. Ahh..

Anyways as for the lot...

We have wood and doors and windows. LoL. Our PM says it will be framed by end of this week. Wow. SOO Fast! So with that, we lowered the price of the condo today. Seems like its flying by now. Cant wait!

We also ordered our kitchen faucet. Heres a pic. Its the Delta touch2o. Pumped about this too.

Kelsey- the hole is beautiful!

BD- I hope it happens for you guys Wednesday. Fingers crossed. What do you think of the new siding idea. Is your wife ok with it? Kinda crazy how fast they changed companys.

Noey- Looking good! Love the planter box. And no luck on the cabinets. Too late on that one. I think our Sales Rep will hate me by the end of this.

Becky- Love the new dog pic. So cute.

Real housewives of O.C. is on. Sorry to cut it short. Talk soon!!! xioxoxo

  1. Good new color choices! Love it. I bet you are thrilled to see the wood sitting on your lot pretty soon the hole will no longer be there but a house will be on top of it. Its going to fly by so fast.

  2. I love your new color choices. They seem similar to our first choices. Can't wait to see them ON your house! =) And your lot will be a house before you know it now!

  3. I picked siding today too, and just about threw up. :) How can you possibly be expected to figure out what a WHOLE house is going to look like, in natural light, from a 3 inch sample? Regardless, I think your choices look great.

  4. I agree with Ranter...it is hard to look at a little sample and figure it all out. The good thing for us is the front of our house is brick and that wasn't changing. The only thing we had to make sure was that we liked how the siding color looked with the brick since we will have a brick water table on both sides of our house.

Bitty...I think your choices look great...we almost picked the Stone Mountain Clay...it was a close second. Thank you sooo much for the crossed fingers for the big dig to start on Wednesday.

  5. Thanks Bitty!! I think we are actually at the same stage as of right now. They are starting to frame this morning, and my sales rep believes that it'll be done by weeks end if the weather is good! I CAN'T wait to see pictures of your framing complete!!! The color choices are great, too! I hate that we can't envision everything as a whole, either, but it does make it a little more exciting :)
