Pre drywall

Hey Everyone! We had our pre-drywall on Wed. Everything looked good. They did fix some of the wood. pry 50% of it. Other pieces they left. Which thats ok. Seths dad noticed that the walls in the bedrooms are 24 inches which I guess makes picture hanging harder. (I didnt even think of that) haha. Other then that im happy. PM says drywall should be next week and exterior siding and everything should be the following week. No I feel like its crawling. I just want to be in it sooo bad. Oh also Guardian had come in and done all their wiring things and a few mess ups. Seth had asked back in May to move the wires to the basement since we are not finishing it. I guess he missed that part in the email. Also once we were home Seth thought, you know what there were not any wires for the surround sound. Darh, so our PM (hes super cute did I mention that) call our guardian rep and Seth and him met at the house that night and got it all figured out. Ohh andddd I almost forgot. PM pointed out that someone has already tried to break in. EEEKKKSs. I know I know its just to steel their equipment and wires and things but that freaks me out. Theres like no crime here but still. Thats our new home. So they are going to get a new door jam thing. Other then that, I will keep you guys posted

OH yah , ok so notice how on the outside of my house I have the white plastic RYAn homes stuff. Our new neighbor has all silver stuff. Around their whole house. It looks like better liner stuff. Does anyone know the difference?

Noey- OMG I love your house. Its my fav on our blog site. I think I love it more then mine. Can I just ship in to Ohio? =) Love it! Love the outside, love the kitchen. TEAR. my dream kitchen.

BD- HOLY SMOKES your house it going to be HUGE. I think you could fit our whole blog community in your basment. =) Its coming along.. and thanks for the tip on the window strips. I did not know you could buy those.

Chelly- Love the house its looking awesome. How much land are you guys on?

Steph- Where have you been? Lol besides moving in. Send us some pics.

Has anyone noticed once ppl get their keys.. they dont come back to blogging too often. Tear. I hope I dont do that. I know I will trying to unpack and paint and everything. We miss you all.

I'm glad to hear all Guardian stuff got worked out! AWESOME!!!

AWWW...thanks for the compliment sweetie! I love our house too. But I love ALL the houses on these blogs! I haven't seen an ugly one yet! =D

And I have noticed that people close and don't return. ='( *Sad* I have been thinking about that a lot actually. I realized that after I close, I have to get settled and throw a bridal shower! And get the kids ready and prepared for a new school year. But I'm determined to make time for blogging. lol

Oh, and yes...I think we ALL could fit in BD's basement! lol

  2. Glad you got things worked out with Guardian...glad Seth remembered the wiring for speakers...would have been a bear to do after drywall or worse yet during final walk-thru.

If you do the little window strips you will have to let us know how they work out and post pictures.

I agree with you all regarding our basement...it does feel BIG...especially with the additional area under the solarium, sunroom, and morning rooms.

  6. Our lot is about .37 acre...about 148' across and anywhere from 80' to 109' in depth...really wide, not too deep...we oriented the house as far to the right side of the lot as we were allowed by code(like down to the inch) which will optimize the amount of space to the left of our house and left rear of the house.
