Exterior Pics*

Hey guys,
My comments have been going to everyones spam/junk. Not sure how to change it. Let me know if you know how. =)
Other then that we tried using the coupon that M and J suggested and our sales rep said we cant use it with the free morning room? I dont know? Other then that doesnt look like we will be getting any credits or anything. We are building in Hidden Lakes. Peninsula OH. Its near Hudson, Boston Mills. Its Hudson schools which is making our taxes super high. They are about 420/month. But if we ever have babies it will be worth it. =) Great school system. The condo is in Streetsboro and the taxes are much cheaper here. Does anyone mind sharing what their property taxes will be in their area?
We picked out the exterior colors heres a preview.
This is the model home in our development. We loved the colors so we basically picked the same.
Our front door will be black tho and our stone wont have the red color in it.

Love love love it. *

  2. Thanks km. Our development has the standard upgraded exterior. All the homes will have an upgrade. They gave us like 3490$ dollars off for it. I believe its elevation K on the Venice.

  3. Your house is really pretty. I grew up in Kent and have several friends that lived in Hudson. Hudson is a great area (definitely high cost of living) and really good schools.

We are building in Licking County Ohio and our taxes are about $300 a month, which to us is outrageous. We moved from South Carolina and our property taxes were $550 for the year! I guess to get better schools, you have to pay higher taxes :-)

  4. Congrats - that is beautiful. Very cool that they are upgrading the exterior for the entire neighborhood...but I guess they would have to in order to keep Hudson standards ;)

  6. Megan, Thank you. Thats craZy that you grew up in Kent. Such a small little world on this blog. haha. I grew up in Ravenna and the school systems were def. lower then low. I have never heard of taxes that low. Maybe I should re-locate. Low taxes and sunshine. =) What brought you back to Ohio?

Shara, Thank you! Yes def keeping up with Hudson standards is putting a dent in our pockets.

India & Corey, Thank you also. We actually looked at Meadow View in Streetsboro before finding Hidden Lakes and they did not have Elevation K either. I guess different developments are all different. Kinda of like all the different special offers they have haha. Not sure. Ill post a pick of the elevation K. The one above is the model which I think is the Florence?

  9. Definitely a small world! Both of my parents are from Ravenna and I still have plenty of family there: Rocks, Mendiolas, Kelleys, Keegans, Fullums...

We moved back to Ohio this summer so that I could go to school in Columbus. This winter has definitely been hard :-)

  17. I have spent the whole afternoon reading Blogs on Ryan homes! We are building a Florence in Pittsburgh! I think this is a great way to learn and make sure we aren't missing any details on our build! Do you know what the paint/stone colors in the picture of the Florence are? I am hoping they are exactly what we picked!--They look great!

Congrats and thanks for sharing your process!

  18. "Anonymous* Im not sure of the colors. We just told her we wanted the model colors. Sorry.... We meet with the Guardian people at the model on Thursday. If our sales rep is there ill have her write down the colors for us to share with you. =) Hopefully they are what you picked.
Its crazy this little Ryan Homes world. And there is the whole other Ryan Homes world that is anti-ryan homes. I told one of my friends about our new home the other day. She told me she does hair for a Ryan Homes inspector. I guess the inspector said the homes are made cheap. But I have to agree.. I think all homes these days are made cheap. Everyone has to make money somewhere right?

  19. Hey, I love the look of the house :) I'm sure it will be great!
We are going to be building in Meadow View, and I was wondering what made you change your mind to Peninsula?
We are under contract, estimated date for start of construction is mid to late Sept. So I guess I still have a little while to back out if I really feel like I need to look at other communities. I do like what I saw of Meadow View but don't know anyone that has lived in Streetsboro, so I am not too familiar with it.
